WHAT YOUR REPORT INCLUDES
A used car’s asking price only tells part of the story. Market Check combines estimated values with the available advertising and demand indicators, helping you put that price in context.
Compare available private-sale, dealer, part-exchange, trade and auction estimates. Use the band that matches how you plan to buy or sell.
Based on the mileage you enter. Not every valuation band is available for every car.
See available demand scores, listing counts, stock changes, average time advertised and asking-price adjustments.
Market-level indicators, not individual adverts or a guaranteed selling price.
Read available test results, recorded mileage, advisories and failure notes. Use them to identify questions worth asking about the car.
An MOT pass is not a guarantee of current condition.
Confirm the registration, make, model, year, fuel and colour before comparing the numbers.
MAKE YOUR NEXT MOVE
Assess whether the asking price fits the available valuation and market context. A dealer price may include preparation, a warranty or other services that a private sale does not.
Read the MOT notes, inspect the car and compare its condition and specification before negotiating. Market Check gives you evidence to discuss, not a verdict that a car is a good buy.
Start with the appropriate private-sale estimate, then consider condition, mileage, service records and any work needed. Market demand and average advertising time provide extra context.
A faster sale may call for a different asking price from one where you can wait. The report is a dated snapshot, so changing market conditions still matter.
Compare the available part-exchange estimate with the offer you receive. Dealers account for preparation, overheads and resale risk, so a trade-in offer differs from an advertised retail price.
Use the report to ask how an offer was reached. An estimated value does not commit a dealer or buyer to paying that amount.

READING THE REPORT
A price on an advert is what the seller asks. It does not establish the final price paid. Asking-price movement shows recorded adjustments to adverts, while average time advertised describes listing duration.
Our report labels these measures separately from estimated valuation bands. A demand score is a market indicator, not a promise of how quickly your individual car will sell.

Accurate mileage helps make a valuation relevant. Condition, options, location, maintenance and the seller’s terms can all make a particular vehicle different from the estimate.
Coverage depends on the information available for the vehicle. The report is a snapshot, not ongoing monitoring. It does not include service records, individual advert history, finance, stolen or write-off checks.

A car market check brings together estimated vehicle values and market indicators to help you assess an asking price, plan a sale or compare a part-exchange offer. Our report includes available valuation bands, demand and advertising metrics, MOT history and basic vehicle details.
The standalone Market Check costs £10.99 including VAT for one vehicle. It is a one-off report with no subscription. Valuation and usable market insights must both be available; otherwise we issue a full refund.
Enter the UK registration, confirm the vehicle and enter its current mileage in miles before paying. We use that mileage for the valuation and combine the available values with market insights. Your private report link is emailed once processing is complete.
Available figures can include private sale, dealer forecourt, part exchange, trade and auction values. Coverage varies by vehicle and not every band will be supplied. Values are estimates based on the mileage you enter, not guaranteed offers or an inspection of the car.
No. Market Insights summarises market data, such as listing counts, demand scores, asking-price adjustments and average time advertised. It does not provide a browsable list of comparable cars, advert links or this vehicle’s previous adverts.
No. It is historical advertising context for the vehicle’s market, not a prediction or a confirmed sale date. Price, condition, specification, location and how you advertise all affect your own selling time.
We issue a full refund of the standalone £10.99 if either a usable used-car valuation or usable market insights cannot be supplied. MOT history and vehicle details alone do not fulfil the paid check. Temporary supplier errors are retried; if they remain unresolved, we also issue a full refund to the original payment method.
The standalone report does not include these checks. Before paying, you can choose Full Report Pack for £23.95, including the full vehicle history check, OEM Service History, Retail Market Check, Ads History and Previous Searches. The full checkout’s terms apply to that purchase.
Yes. Use the appropriate valuation band and market indicators as a starting point, then compare the actual car’s condition, specification, service records and seller type. An asking price is not a confirmed transaction price. Ask the seller about any differences before making an offer.
No. You receive a snapshot of the available information when the report is generated. Returning to the report shows that saved snapshot; it does not continuously refresh valuations or track listings.
